A message from Dar...
"I hope you'll come out this fall for some concerts that are very special to me! My book, "What I Found In A Thousand Towns," is coming out in September and I'll be singing, reading, and hopefully hearing a bit about what you love about your towns and cities. I've watched downtowns and cities go from vacant to vibrant over the last twenty plus years. How does that happen? How does it begin? Throughout my travels, I wrote notes, I talked to people, and ultimately I interviewed them about the magical crossroads where life had returned to main streets and town greens. My book is part how-to guide, part love song to our country and all its possibilities. I truly believe that when we help our towns find their souls, we find our own as well."- Dar

And some thoughts from the New Yorker...

"Dar Williams, one of America's very best singer-songwriters… Her songs are beautiful. Some are like finely crafted short stories. They are, variously, devastatingly moving, tenderly funny, subtle without being in any way inaccessible, and utterly fresh—not a cliché or a clunker in her entire songbook." -The New Yorker
