Rena Guinn is a local in the Finger Lakes region of New York state. A singer, songwriter and guitarist, who has released 3 studio albums since 2021. Beginning with her debut EP, titled “Shine”, she released some of her first original songs with the help of some very talented local musicians. Then she released her first full length album, titled "Is This Now?” in 2023. Again, working with local musicians and her producer to create a very lively album, spanning genres of folk, blues, country and americana and always still coming
back to the roots and simplicity of a singer songwriter with her guitar. Then, in 2024, she recorded 4 live tracks as “The Wilburland Sessions” with her band, Rena Guinn and the Gentlemen. Live, honky-tonk, country boogie, bluesy, and dark americana, these live recordings capture the immense talent of the players in this band without any overdubs and minimal production.

Rena is now working on new material for her next collection of songs, hoping to offer what’s dearest to her heart, which is songwriting. With the intention of keeping these new songs in a very raw and pure state, with a few accompaniments but mostly just her and her guitar.

Rena performs live, mostly in a duo with Joe Lule or a trio, adding Doug Henrie on the upright bass. In her free time, she is building a cut flower business on her farm in Burdett, studying the art of making chocolate and working on her cabin she built just outside of Ithaca, NY.
