THE MAKERS @ the Finger Lakes Cider House

May 22nd, 2026 6-9 pm

$5 cover charge

The Makers are Lydia Garrison and Nate Silas Richardson. A shared obsession with the music of Mali, West Africa brought them together, and a potent creative chemistry emerged between them. They blend their voices, fiddle, banjo, and various guitars into an intricate weave of sometimes unclassifiable but always heartfelt, roots-based original songs, exploring the triumphs and tragedies along life’s beautiful & bumpy road.

Lydia grew up in the Old Time, Cajun, and Zydeco music worlds, dancing and jamming and feeling
the music swirling around her at music festivals in the North East and Louisiana. She has been inspired by songwriters and musicians such as Bear Fox, Keith Frank, Courtney Granger, Lucinda
Williams, Emmy Lou Harris, Ginny Hawker, Rokia and Boubocar Traore, Zoumana Tereta, and Oumou Sangare. She did a musical study abroad in Bamako, Mali, West Africa in 2008, seeing up close the power that she'd felt as an audience member at the local FingerLakes GrassRoots Festival
of Music & Dance, which routinely brought musical acts from Mali.

Nate is a musical omnivore and a lifetime learner, with over 3 decades of experience touring, recording, teaching, and speaking. Guitar has been his passport to the world, from Kobuchizawa Japan, to Cape Breton Nova Scotia, and from Kailua Hawaii, to Gulu Uganda. He has performed key
roles on records by 10ft Ganja Plant, Sim Redmond Band, John Brown’s Body, Samite, and many others. Whether its on a festival stage, in the classroom, or working his day job

BLACK MOUNTAIN SYMPHONY @ the Finger Lakes Cider House

July 3rd, 2026 6-9pm

$5 cover charge

Black Mountain Symphony is a six-piece progressive folk band from the hill country outside Albany, New York. Multi-instrumentalists, singers and songwriters all, BMS has toured their original compositions throughout New York State, around the Northeast, and across the US, performing alongside acts ranging from Rusted Root to the Young Dubliners to Days of the New. Their live sets showcase a limitless range of influences, blending genres to create a unique emotional experience with every show. "No one's out there like Black Mountain Symphony...the champagne of eclectic music" - Stephanie Fisher, New Voice, NY TalkRadio.net.

Named for the twilight silhouette of the mountains they call home, Black Mountain Symphony began as the high school garage band of siblings Annie (Violin) and Bear (Keyboards) Campo, writing and performing original alternative music to escape the confines of their classical training. The rhythmic guitar and bardic songwriting style of Charlie Burgess complemented the swelling soundscapes of the Campos, and drummer Bill Palinski brought jam-danceability and pop-punk sensibility to the act. Prog-bass virtuoso Paul Burke, a frequent collaborator on BMS side projects, now rounds out the rhythm section, and lead guitarist and childhood friend Jesse Sample can be found shredding through BMS classics and interweaving harmonies with Annie Campo's soaring violin lines.

GUN POETS @ the Finger Lakes Cider House

July 31st, 2026 6-9pm

$10 cover charge

Gunpoet: noun - One who fights for peace, love, and justice through music.

Mics and instruments as weapons. Words as bullets. While there may be a cultural tendency to make certain assumptions when one hears the word "gun" associated with rap music, this seven-member live hip-hop band from Ithaca, NY, runs contrary to that image with their uplifting lyrics and inspiring performances. Since the band formed in 2008, their stellar catalog of albums and dedication to an ever growing and energized fan base has propelled them to the top of the Central New York music scene. In addition to being a fan favorite in their musically rich hometown, Gunpoets is a staple act at regional festivals such as the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance and the Great Blue Heron Music Festival, as well as an in-demand headliner at clubs and concert series across the Northeast.

BOB ROBERTS CALAMITY @ the Finger Lakes Cider House

October 11th, 2026 5:30-8:30pm

$5 cover charge

Serving as the Finger Lakes most calamitous collective, BRC has been accosting crowds (musically) across NY for the last decade. We’re a 5 piece, force feeding nostalgia whether you like it or not. Playing the hits you thought you had forgotten (for good reason) and relentlessly bringing you back with originals that speak to a simpler time. A tinge of teen spirit, a splash of super soaked savage garden… Ya best just pop on a fresh pair of JNCO’s, and put the beeper on silent. When you’re with the Calamity, it’s bound to be the bomb diggity, no doubt.

After releasing the album "Zen In Denim" in 2024, the band began an onslaught of shows exposing audiences to their smirk worthy sensibilities. A group who share a familiarity in living that resonates with the listener through lyrics that feel as though they've been stolen from your subconscious. Our sardonic glaze, a snickered malaise, somehow bring smiles to your face.. Because we all can relate.
